The main objective of the FACENDO 4.0 project is the design and development of new technological solutions that allow Stellantis Vigo to become a leading manufacturer of automobiles worldwide and placing it at the forefront of the latest technologies and energy efficiency, in addition to positioning itself as a reference provider of mobility services at an international level.
In other words, the objective is to carry out research activities to obtain new digitalized, connected and intelligent production processes that make possible the reconversion of the factory towards the concept of “Factory of the future” and at the same time, the development of new systems, interfaces HMIs and products that allow the development of intelligent vehicles called “Vehicles of the Future”, with the characteristics of being clean, autonomous and connected.
The role of AIMEN within the FACENDO 4.0 project consists of developing new digital and advanced automation technologies for the manufacture of key components in Stellantis Vigo, improving the performance of the ironing, assembly and drawing processes and generating knowledge of the form keep going. To do this, AIMEN will research and validate at different levels (TRL4-5) solutions and digital technologies adapted to the needs of several key processes within the Stellantis Vigo manufacturing plant.
