- Start: 01/10/2022
- End: 30/09/2025
The main objective of the project is to investigate the necessary technologies for the development of control and electrical actuation intelligent systems, by the application of techniques that allow the continuous monitoring of the most relevant parameters of the system (critical effects on safety requirements in flight). This monitoring, in addition to data acquisition and its smart processing by innovative techniques based on AI (Artificial Intelligence), will let to detect potential degradations on the parameters of the system, and also the required maintenance tasks.
AIMEN will collaborate with CIDT on the development of new Additive Manufacturing fabrication technologies and advanced materials, that will act as impact multipliers in the different subsystems, oriented to the development of electrical actuation systems, intelligent and monitored. In particular, AIMEN will work on the laser functionalization of multi-material polymer structures and (or) with technological alloys, to improve some specific properties as the electrical and thermal conductivity, maintaining the low density of the base material.
