Harsh environment monitoring by fiber optic sensor system

  • Start: 01/01/2018
  • End: 31/12/2021

Development of a new monitoring and control distributed platform based on IOT/CPS and FOG computing technologies, allowing power plants to act dynamically, intelligently and autonomously, adapting to the operating regime required by demand at every moment efficiently, enabling predictive maintenance operations, reducing unscheduled shutdowns and ensuring a minimum level of emissions.
AIMEN will develop a fiber optic system to monitoring strain and high temperatures (up to 700oC) for harsh environments.
