Development of smart and flexible manufacturing technologies of high productivity for the shipbuilding sector

In the INNFLEXION project it aims to develop automated manufacturing solutions that are smart, flexible, fast reconfigurable and low-cost for welding and assembly of elements and naval structures and rectified. These solutions are accompanied with developments for automation of dimensional control and joints quality of the structures obtained. The improvement in manufacturing processes as well as the acquisition of new knowledge to provide a strong technological base, will directly impact on the quality of manufactured products, while it will increase the competitiveness of FACTORIAS VULCANO within a competitive industry it is the naval sector. Such competitive improvement will be based on:
1 - An increase in productivity and substantial reduction in production costs, preferably derived from significant savings of time spent in reworking operations.
2 - The ability to manufacture metal structures very different typology not only for shipbuilding, but also for other sectors such as civil construction through simple and quick reconfiguration of production systems.
AIMEN will participate in all tasks involved in defining the functional requirements and architecture of automated solutions (welding gantries, dimensional and quality control using 3D computer vision, etc.)
