The aim of TINTIN is the development of tools and technologies focused on control and autonomous reconfiguration of manufacturing systems involved in laminating hot product. Automated and robotic systems capable of self-adjustment, correction and process control of individual machines using online monitoring systems based on artificial vision will be developed. With this objective, Plug & Produce systems that allow reconfiguration of machines and robots from the plant management system (MES layer) will be developed.
The main technical results are:
-Communication between management layer (MES) and process.
-Robotized head and tail cutting .
-System counting bars.
-Robotized system for changing rings.
-Rolling mill reconfiguration depending on the speed of the bar.
-Online readaptation.
-Furnace flexible manufacturing.
-Simulation model of furnace burners.
-Loop-scanner based on artificial vision.
-Multispectral monitoring.
The AIMEN Technology Centre will participate contributing with its knowledge in flexible and reconfigurable robotic cell, process control and real-time vision systems and monitoring. AIMEN will collaborate on work related to machine vision systems and in robotics and automation of various processes included in rolling mills.
