The main objective of the TIFON project is to accelerate the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to support the digital transformation of Spain's productive fabric, promoting an advanced, competitive and sustainable Industry 4.0. The initiative investigates the application of AI, Machine Learning (ML) and Language Models (LLM) to industrial design and manufacturing processes, with the aim of optimising efficiency, quality and safety in strategic sectors such as aeronautics and shipbuilding.
The expected results include the development of technologies for intelligent data processing, automation and quality control using artificial vision, industrial virtual assistants based on language models, and advanced AI-supported design and optimisation methods.
AIMEN plays an essential role in leading the development of systems for monitoring and digitising joining processes in the naval sector, including the implementation of a sensor network capable of recording and analysing in real time all the welding parameters involved in the manufacturing process. This work will provide in-depth knowledge of the process, optimise the quality of the joints and advance towards data-based production strategies and intelligent control.
